iTV Asynchronous / Synchronous Streaming Video Demos

This website was created to facilitate an iTV Streaming Video to Desktop demonstration on December 4, 2004, from 3-4 pm (Central) from our College of Education's iTV Room 213 in Lubbock, Texas. At that time for this connection, participants used the following link to connect to the live webcast:

System Requirements:

  1. A high speed Internet connection (cable/DSL modem or T1 line)
  2. Requirements for the player software selected (use the required player links below to view)
  3. A VPN connection (authenticating with your eRaider userid and password) to TTU. (Configuration instructions are available.)
  4. A Windows computer is required to view the live webcast (the PowerPoint/Instructor video feature is not supported on current Macintosh OS X browsers.) An archived instructor-only video link is provided for each archived session, accessible for Macintosh as well as Windows users.

Tip: Make sure you adjust your player preferences for the type/speed of Internet connection you are using!

Archived Video : At a workstation meeting the above requirements, please use the powerpoint/instructor link below to test your computer's readiness for the live webcast. (A connection to the TTU VPN is required to view the live webcast, but not the archived video links below.)

This webcast was made using our existing iTV room equipment and Accordent Presenter Pro Enterprise Edition, which was purchased with 2003-2004 HEAF Funds and installed in the Summer of 2004. More information about this product is available. The quality of the video/audio for web attendees was limited during this demonstration because the video was being streamed directly from the encoder computer. In the future, we will configure the video to be streamed through another server running Windows Media Server that can adjust for packet loss and handle larger numbers of simultaneous web attendees.
