TLA coordinators and trainers may forward the URL of this site via email to others for review purposes. 2. Purpose of this website

Potential exists to deliver archived video to TLA participants via recordable compact disk and/or streaming web video technologies. This website is setup to demonstrate the capability of delivering web video in a variety of formats, using these technologies

Several things to keep in mind:

Videos prepared for delivery on the web are usually smaller than those used on CDs, therefore their quality is usually poorer.
Videos streamed over the web essentially require a broadband internet connection (for home users, a cable modem or DSL modem). Download speeds for 56K modems are very slow and result in long download times that can be frustrating for computer users.
This video footage was NOT recorded with a direct microphone feed. Audio quality could be significantly enhanced by using a direct mic feed.

Three different streaming technologies are presently competing for market dominance. The test video for this demonstration is provided in each format for comparison in web streaming.

The highest quality video is provided in Quicktime format on CD. This CD is being mailed to Ellen Bell on 10/17/01.
