Information for Masters and Doctoral Students

"GTEMP" Classification

Very Important: If your degree status with the Graduate School is GTMP (Graduate Temporary), please be aware that you may only complete 12 hours as "Graduate Temporary". All new students should check their report cards for "GTMP" in the degree box, as we may have changed your application in order to get you admitted in a timely manner. Anyone with "GTMP" on any records from Texas Tech should be aware that they will need to reapply to the Graduate School as Certification or Degree Seeking in order to seek a degree at Texas Tech.

Also, the Graduate School now requires the Graduate Temporary student to call 806/742-2781 and ask for a "Request to Continue Registering as GTEMP" Form. The student must fill this form out and return it before they will be allowed to register.
