I am very pleased to announce that while I am in India Dr. Roseanna Davidson has agreed to be the Interim Director of the Virginia Murray Sowell Center for Research and Education in Visual Impairment. If you have questions please contact her at Roseanna.davidson@ttu.edu.
In addition, I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Amy Parker has agreed to accept a Research Assistant Professor in the Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments and the Orientation and Mobility Personnel Preparation Programs. Recently, Dr. Parker was a research assistant/ associate for Dr. Davidson for a number of years as well as a National Center in Leadership in Visual Impairment Fellow at TTU. Prior to coming to TTU she spent many years working in various positions in the field of rehabilitation and transition for persons with deafblindness. She is very well qualified and are looking forward to many collaborative projects with other faculty members and Centers. Please welcome her as she assumes this position on August 24th, 2009.
Have a safe and productive fall.
