THE ACHROMATOPSIA NETWORK

This is an information and support network for individuals and families who are affected by the rare inherited vision disorder achromatopsia (sometimes called achromatopia), including both rod monochromacy and blue cone monochromacy.

Eye Simulation Page

This application simulates eye motion and demonstrates the effects of disabling one or more of the 12 eyes muscles and one or more of the 6 cranial nerves that control eye motion. The purpose of this simulator is to teach medical students and doctors how the eye motion will change with pathology of the eye muscles and cranial nerves and what to look for during a standard neurological eye exam.

Marinesco-Sjogren Syndrome - home page

Marinesco-Sjogren Syndrome (MSS) is a very rare genetic disorder characterized by ataxia (balance and coordination problems), post-natal cataracts, generally some degree of cognitive delay, and very small stature. Fewer than 100 cases are currently diagnosed worldwide.  The purpose of this website is to provide information and support to families affected by MSS and to encourage communication between doctors and researchers interested in this disorder.  The website provides information about MSS, as well as links to other useful sites.
