Perhaps the greatest gift of all
is not gift, but a loan.
To assist a person in reaching his or her goal of an education,
a career or a business can bring great joy and pride to the
donor.
To be able to help, with demeaning
the recipient, by not giving but lending without expecting
a reward, is noble.
That nobility can be enhanced
by later specifying that the loan is not to be repaid, but
instead is to start a cycle of meaningful giving by affording
another the chance you have had.
