                                                     in American Education/Teacher Education at Texas Tech!

 

Texas Tech is currently engaged in several initiatives to transform educator preparation programs to meet 21st century demands. Such a transformative shift is endorsed by the national blue ribbon panel of American educators in Transforming Teacher Education through Clinical Practice: A National Strategy to Prepare Effective Teachers (NCATE, 2010). Sowell Continues Work of MOU with Indian Colleagues

 

In November 2011, The Virginia Murray Sowell Center for Research and Education in Sensory Disabilities and the Rehabilitation Council of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). One of the purposes of this MOU was for faculty and staff from Texas Tech and India to exchange and disseminate information with other professionals serving people with disabilities.  This article explains how this work is continuing.
