Congratulations to Jan Lupton on Two University-Wide Awards

Instructor Jan Lupton is a recipient of the 2010-2011 Professing Excellence award, presented by University Student Housing at Texas Tech University.

Each year, University Student Housing provides students that live within the residence halls at Texas Tech the opportunity to nominate outstanding instructors for their dedication and commitment to student learning. Of the numerous nominations, a committee of students selected ten individuals to receive this annual award.

Ms. Lupton was recognized with an award at the Professing Excellence reception on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 3:00 pm in the Matador Room of the Student Union Building.

On May 2, 2011, Ms. Lupton will be recognized again as a favorite professor.  This time a senior student-athlete recognized Ms. Lupton, and this award will be presented at the annual TECHSPY awards.  This event honors the achievements of student-athletes in the classroom.

It is truly outstanding for Instructor Jan Lupton to be recognized by these two university-wide organizations.  The College of Education also salutes Jan Lupton for these honors.
