About Texas Tech
Texas Tech has ten colleges: Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Human Sciences, The Honors College, Mass Communications, Visual & Performing Arts as well as schools of law and medicine/allied health. Tech is a rising star among the younger research universities and was recently reclassified as a Tier 1 Research University on the Carnegie classification rankings. Students come from all 50 states and 80 foreign countries. In the past nine years funding for thriving research programs has more than doubled and the university's endowment has more than tripled.
