About the Lubbock Area

Buddy Holly statue in Lubbock, TexasLubbock, with its relatively low cost of living, freedom from state and local income taxes, and population of more than 200,000 is a great place to live. Its mild, arid climate is suitable for almost any type of activity. It is no wonder that Lubbock serves as the educational, medical, agricultural, financial, and cultural center of the West Texas and Eastern New Mexico region.

Lubbock is located approximately six hours from Dallas and six hours from Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Lubbock International airport provides easy access in and out of the city, with approximately 1 hour flights to Dallas, Austin, Albuquerque, and El Paso.
