Interactive Videoconferencing (IVC/ITV)

Overview

We use the term IVC (Interactive Videoconferencing) in reference to courses offered using videoconferencing technologies. The term "IVC" (interactive videoconferencing) is used interchangably with iTV. It is a dynamic, 2 (or more) way exchange of thoughts and ideas, rather than a 1-way "TV style" delivery of content.

Students enrolled in an IVC course through our college either attend at one of Texas Tech's main campus distance learning rooms, at a Texas Tech off-campus site, or in a distance learning room in the local school district or area.

Our college presently has 3 IVC rooms, but we have access to other university IVC rooms as needed. We regularly connect to sites around the world. For more information about which end sites are available or how to request an end site, visit Texas Tech Video Services. In addition to the Student and Faculty Guides to Teaching and Learning at a Distance, please visit the TTU IT website for more information regarding recommended computer/technoogy requirements.
