Populating a WebCT Course

 

TTU Faculty teaching with WebCT or a COE staff member added to a course as a "shared designer" can populate a WebCT course. This is the process of obtaining eRaider usernames for students enrolled in a particular course section and adding them as students in a WebCT course.

The procedures for doing this are:

  1. Click on Control Panel (make sure EXPANDED CONTROL PANEL is clicked).
  2. Under MANAGE COURSE click MANAGE STUDENTS
  3. Under OPTIONS-RECORDS select ADD/IMPORT STUDENTS and click GO.
  4. On the 2nd row of choices titled ADD MULTIPLE STUDENTS FROM A REGISTERED COURSE enter your course section in exactly the following format, without any spaces: prefixnumbersectionyearterm - example: edld534000120052 (term codes are: fall = 1, spring = 2, summer1 = 3, summer2 = 4).
  5. Click SELECT.
  6. Wait for the student list to be obtained (this may take a few seconds) and after it appears, then click SELECT to add all students enrolled in TechSIS.
