Who are these instructions for? |
Primarily for COE faculty and staff. This
information is publicly available on our website
people finder: this is just another format
for the same information. |
Why would I want to do this? |
To have COE office extensions and office numbers on your handheld
device, so you can easily access them away from your desk. |
Download
and install the iSilo document reader (a shareware program) to
your handheld computer. (Palm OS, Pocket PC, Windows CE, and Windows
versions are available.)
- Download links and instructions are provided on www.isilo.com/download/.
- After a 30 day trial period, iSilo can be used
in "free
mode." Tabular data like that included in our personnel directory
can still be viewed, but is displayed in a single column mode. Alternatively,
you can pay the shareware
fee, but this is NOT necessary to enjoy
iSilo functionality.
Download
and install our latest COE directory in iSoloX format (including faculty/staff
name, phone number, extension and office number.)
Sync
your handheld device.
 |
Have an iPod? Save this file (coefacultystaff.txt) into the NOTES folder on your iPod. Because of iPod text memo file size restrictions, this file only includes lastname, firstname, and COE phone / extension info. (Email info is not included) |
How are iSolo files
created? |
iSiloX is a freeware program that converts
existing text documents (including webpages) to iSolo format. More
information is on www.isilox.com.
iSoloX is NOT required for people wanting to use our personnel
directory or use other iSolo files. It is for developer / content
creator use. |
