Practicum / Internship Experience
PREREQUISITES: Only students completing required degree coursework are eligible for the Practicum / Internship experience. Please note: REGISTRATION IS CONTINGENT UPON PRIOR APPROVAL BY (Please refer to handbooks link on the left for details.)
Congratulations! You are now entering the Practicum / Internship experience phase of your counselor training. This experience includes one semester of Practicum and a minimum of two semesters of Internship. You will find information, clinical forms, site approval packets, and clinical handbooks for both the agency and the school counseling tracks. The information on this website about approved Practicum and Internship sites is provided for reference only and is subject to change without notice. While every effort is made to update the information regarding the sites, it is not the responsibility of the EPCE Program, the College of Education, or Texas Tech University to insure that each of these sites meets mandatory criteria to be an approved Clinical Site for the Counselor Education program at any given time. Thus, it is your responsibility as a student to contact the Clinical Director (Dr. Hendricks) if you have questions regarding a particular site and whether or not the site meets the criteria specified in the Community Field Site Experiences Handbook and/or the School Field Site Experiences Handbook.
