Admission Materials

For step-by-step directions for submitting your application, please download the Doctoral Prospective Student Handbook and follow the directions. For the PhD please download the Doctoral Prospective Student Handbook. You may download the admissions materials under the Portable Document Format (PDF) for the Counselor Education (MEd) program here. To do this, click on the "Download Application" button at the bottom of this screen. After downloading and saving the file, print it out and follow the directions written on each form. Detailed downloading instructions are available.
When you file your application, please make sure that you have the same documents as listed below. Read them all before filling out your application. When you have completed your application, you may send the application to the address below. Remember, you must still apply to the Graduate School to be completely admitted to Texas Tech University.

Applications are downloadable from this site and viewable through the Acrobat 2.1 plug-in (or higher) for your browser, or by downloading the FREE Acrobat Reader. To download the application, follow the instructions below.

  1. Click on the name of the document you would like to download.
  2. After the PDF (Portable Document Format) file has completely loaded into your browser window, use your browser to "save" the file in PDF format onto your local hard disk or to a floppy disk.
  3. If you do not have the necessary plug-in to view the file, your browser should cue you to link to its homepage to download the Acrobat 2.1 plug-in you need.
  4. After viewing the file, print a copy, fill it out, and send it to the address below.
  5. If you can not download this document please call Ms. Patsy Mountz at 806-742-1998 ext. 434 and ask her to mail the document to you.
  6. Deadlines for admission are October 1, February 1, and March 1.
