short biography
Connie A. Anderson received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 1973 and Master of Education degree in 1975 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and the Doctor of Education degree in 1988 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She has over 30 years experience in educational institutions in Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas.
Research / professional interests / activities
Dr. Anderson has teaching experience at the university level (graduate and undergraduate) in teacher education programs in various educational institutions — Historically Black College and University (HBCU), land-grant tier 1 research universities, and community colleges; administrative roles and leadership responsibilities at the university level as department chair of business teacher education programs, committee chair, and student organization advisor; extensive involvement teaching and working with diverse ethnic and cultural student populations in rural and urban public schools identified as “at risk”; expertise in developing and integrating technology into learning environments; and involvement in developing, implementing, and evaluating field-based teacher education programs.
Her research interests include the mentoring and induction of beginning teachers.
