Dana Craig

Short Biography
Upon completion of a B.S. degree in education from the University of North Texas and becoming certified to teach pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, Mrs. Craig taught in the elementary grades in both the Dallas Independent School District and the Lubbock Independent School District.  In 1979, she received her M.Ed. from Texas Tech University with a focus on reading.  She became certified as a professional reading specialist for all levels.  Along with her public school experience in teaching kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grades, Mrs. Craig has supervised student teachers through the College of Education at Texas Tech for over twelve years.  Additionally, she became an instructor in the language literacy program in the College of Education in 2004 while continuing to supervise student teachers.    Recently, she joined her husband in being recognized as “Friends of Education” through the College of Education.  Mrs. Craig remains actively involved in Texas Tech University endeavors and volunteers in various areas of the Lubbock community.
