Did you know... that
45% of Texas Tech's annual operating budget comes from alumni
support?
The Office of Annual Giving
Programs at Texas Tech conducts a telephone outreach program
for the College of Educaiton which runs throughout the year.
The program hires approximately 40 to 60 Texas Tech students
to call alumni and parents. The students spend about 10
minutes visiting with alumni, telling them about the advancements
of the university and asking them to make a contribution
to the College of Education. The goal of the telephone outreach
program is to work through the entire database and begin
a tradition among College of Education graduates of receiving
a phone call from a Texas Tech student. This program brings
in new donors and renews and upgrades current donors as
well as building a bridge between the College of Education
and its constituents.
Annual gifts immediately go
to work by providing scholarships, faculty development and
research grants for the College and its students. Annual
Giving dollars help provide the extras that make a vital
difference between a good College and a great one.
The TTU Telephone Outreach
Program was created to serve both as a fund-raising and
public relations tool. Therefore, one of our goals is to
call our alumni to update our records, answer special requests
and provide information.
