Students Currently Taking Block Education Courses
Online Advising for undergraduate students going into their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th block reviews important processes you need for your program in addition to providing your block schedule information that will assist with your registration process. Individual appointments with your advisor are also available for students with special needs.
MDS and MSCI Majors Not Taking Block Education Courses
Students should see their advisors every semester to update their degree plan and to plan courses for the next semester. Please schedule an appointment with your advisor early in the semester before the advance registration period. Send your advisor three different days and times you are available, so that they may schedule an appointment for you at the best possible time.

You will receive the yellow carbonized copy for your records. Keep this in a safe place so that you may refer back to it when needed.
Contracts must be signed before the end of advance registration during the second long semester of classes at TTU.
Extended Studies (Correspondence)Courses
Undergraduates may take up to 18 hours of correspondence courses that apply to a degree plan. You must get advisor approval before registering for any correspondence course.
NOTE: MDS and MSCI majors that are in their last semester of course work must sign a contract agreeing to complete the correspondence course by mid-March for the spring semester or by mid-October for the fall semester. This is to ensure that the final is taken and the grade is submitted before the graduation date, as this process takes time to complete.

Student teaching may be waived if the candidate has been an educational aide for at least one year in the appropriate area/field in which they are seeking certification AND has been on the HECB Educational Aide Exemption Program.
