NOTE: The testing vendor will change from NES to ETS effective September 1. There will be different procedures in effect for testing after September 1. Currently you may request a barcode and register for tests through August 31 st only.

ExCET, TExES, OR TOPT Exam Information

Follow this procedure if you are currently admitted into a Teacher Education Program or if you have completed a Teacher Education Program at Texas Tech University.

The TExES Registration Bulletin is available online at www.texes.ets.org. The Certification office often has paper Registration Bulletins available.

Refer to the ETS Testing Deadlines.
Verify your TEA/SBEC identity number at www.sbec.state.tx.us.

Register for your exam with Educational Testing Service (ETS) by

·       Online registration (www.texes.ets.org )

·       Phone registration (1-866-902-5922)

·       Download Form or use Paper Registration Form (www.texes.ets.org for Registration Bulletin or ask your advisor)

Online and telephone registration is not available for test takers requesting accommodations.
