Service Points for
Distance Kappa Delta Pi Members
|
|
| |
"Distance members of Kappa Delta Pi can earn service
points in their own communities by working with
economically disadvantaged and underserved children in
non-school settings. Two hours of volunteer work will
earn one service point. A description of the service
provided and number of hours completed must be reported
to the membership committee/Service Points chair, via
e-mail (Mary Fehr
<mailto:mary.fehr@ttu.edu>
) within ten days of completion. The
Membership Chair will record and confirm the number of
points earned. Service activities might include reading
to children or tutoring in other academic areas (e.g.,
math) in hospitals, community centers, local thrift
stores, or Laundromats.?
