South Plains Autism Network (SPAN)
The South Plains Autism Network, known as SPAN for short, was established in 2002 by a group of parents, who have children with autism, and professionals wanting to help families affected by this disorder.

SPAN was designed to provide resources and support to families of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.  SPAN provides a wonderful opportunity to meet other families coping with autism.

SPAN works in conjunction with the Burkhart Center to assist families by offering educational seminars, support group meetings and information on community resources.

SPAN meets at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of each month during the school year.  Childcare is provided by students from TTUHSC Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences.

SPAN provides a loaner library consisting of educational and inspirational books and videos for parents to check out.

Directions:  

-Park in Patient Parking B-1 or A-1.
-Go to 2nd Floor of the Health Sciences Center to the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic in room 2A300.
