All courses below are required for the Texas state approved, university based Visual Impairment Supplemental Certificate. Certification also requires successful ExCET examination completion. NOTE THAT 2 COURSES HAVE REQUIRED WEEKEND ON-CAMPUS INSTRUCTION SESSIONS. “Reach Across Texas” Program funds pay partial tuition for qualified students.

• EDSP 5389 Methods and Materials for Teaching Students with Dual Sensory Impairment - w
• EDSP 5093 Internship in Special Education

Notice: Students seeking certification through TTU Special Education Department CANNOT take the ExCET for Vision Certification until they have completed ALL organized coursework*.

*Does not include internship and does not refer to the Braille ExCET.
