National Certification in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) requires completion of an O&M program of study approved by the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER). Successful completion of the National O&M Certification Examination is also required. All courses below are required for national O&M certification.

NOTE THAT 2 COURSES HAVE REQUIRED WEEKEND ON-CAMPUS INSTRUCTION SESSIONS. ADDITIONALLY, DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE CONTENT, TWO COURSES ARE OFFERED ONLY ON-CAMPUS IN AN ENTIRELY FACE-TO-FACE FORMAT. THESE COURSES ARE OFFERED DURING SUMMER TERMS. “Reach Across Texas” Program funds pay partial tuition for qualified students.
